The Drum Thing by Deirdre Callaghan

Irish-born photographer Deirdre O’Callaghan is tackling a new photo-book project entitled The Drum Thing, which features the most talented and established rhythm makers in the world today.

To date, Deirdre has self-funded the entire project and is spearheading a fundraising campaign through Kickstarter to help this piece of music history hit the page. Part of the founding team at Dazed & Confused, Deirdre has previously published an award-winning book entitled Hide That Can. More recently, she has chronicled the colorful residents of the infamous New York cultural landmark, the Hotel Chelsea, during its final years of original management.
