Tycoon Percussion - Ontario, CATycoon Percussion is proud to announce the relocation and expansion of its U.S. base of operations. Tycoon’s new facility is located at 1344 Parkside Place, Ontario, CA 91761 and features additional office space for management, sales, marketing and artist relations, a fully-stocked showroom and a large, state-of-the-art warehouse; all of which will allow for greater efficiency as well as the continued growth of the rapidly expanding percussion company. Tycoon’s popular congas, bongos, djembes and other world percussion instruments are now available in nearly every state in the U.S. and can be found at many of today’s leading percussion dealers.

“Despite a soft economy we’ve been able to increase our market share by offering our customers a wide selection of high quality instruments at affordable price points,” explains Tycoon’s General Manager, Quincy Yu. “Between the growth of our business and the growth of our catalog we had simply outgrown our building. Although this may not be the best time for some companies to expand, it’s absolutely the right time for us.”

According the Stephen Yu, founder and president of Tycoon Percussion, the move to the new location is the next step in Tycoon’s efforts to manage its growth in the United States and around the world. Tycoon was established in 1985 primarily as an OEM manufacturer for other well-known percussion brands but, by the early 1990’s, the demand for “Tycoon Percussion” branded products began to accelerate throughout Europe, Asia and North and South America. In 2006, Tycoon Percussion launched its U.S. distribution center. “I had a very clear purpose in establishing our presence in the United States,” Stephen says. “This was a vital part of our plan to propel the company towards becoming an elite hand percussion brand—a goal I believe we are well on the way to achieving. In fact, we’re already well ahead of where we projected we’d be at this time.”

Tycoon Percussion is currently organizing a special Grand Opening celebration and reception for artists, dealers and the media at the new U.S. headquarters prior to the NAMM Show in January 2011. Details will be released as they become available.
