Serving drummers and percussionists since 1996.

Some of these play-along tracks have an accompaning music chart to go with them. You can download them HERE.

Cissy Strut

This play-along track is from the original 45-rpm single recording released by The Meters. The first 4 bars of the A section has been looped to create this play-along, allowing you to work on playing this legendary drum groove.

Jailhouse Rock

This play-along was originally a performance track (no vocals) that I created/produced back in 2003. It's based on the 1957 hit single by Elvis Presley. What's interesting about the single is that the piano and guitar parts have a straight feel while the drums are clearly playing a shuffle. In this play-along the guitarist played his parts slightly swung; not as straight as I wanted him to (like the original). If you play Jailhouse Rock in a cover band, this play-along (minus drums) should help you to be able to play it straight or swung; every band's approach is different.

My Girl

This play-along was originally a performance track (no vocals) that I ted/produced back in 2003. It's based on the 1964 release by The Temptations, with influences from other covered versions. There are two tracks here for you; one with and one without drums.

Shine

This play-along was originally a performance track (no vocals) that I created/produced back in 2003. It's based on the original hit single from the Newsboys. The song, which also appears on their album Going Public, received a Dove Award in 1994. Click HERE to listen to the original groove.

You Don't Know What You're Missing

This is from a demo I played drums on back in 2008, and I thought it would make for a good play-along. The introduction and first verse of this commercial, pop/rock song has a lot of Tom work, and the chorus' have a number of ensemble hits and syncopated figures. Click HERE to listen to performance of the tune. The vocals have been omitted; tempo marking is quarter-note equal to 95 bpm.
