Marvin McQuitty Jr

Marvin McQuitty Jr., born August 30, 1966 in Ann Arbor, MI, was an American drummer best known for his work in Gospel music with such artists as Fred Hammond, Israel & New Breed, Kirk Franklin and Mary Mary but also worked with pop artists like Stevie Wonder, Jessica Simpson and Destiny's Child.

Marvin was both the booking manager and on the road intermittenly with Praise & Worship Grammy nominated artist Israel and New Breed. In addition to producing for various artists, McQuitty gave drum clinics and spoke to youth groups in churches all over the U.S. and abroad.

Marvin passed away, at the age of 46, on September 11, 2012, after a 5-year struggle with the blood disorder, autoimmune myelofibrosis.
