REVIEW
The Wernick Xylosynth XS6 comes with solid hardwood keys which makes it look, play and feel like a real instrument. No special techniques are required or demanded; what you play is what you get. No matter what your playing style or mallet choice may be, the Xylosynth™ almost makes you forget that you are playing an electronic instrument, allowing for a lot of expression.
The instrument is lightweight and compact, making it essentially a breeze for the player to carry and set-up. There's no programming required on the XS6 itself; just use your favorite sound module or sampler and you're good to go. This single instrument can carry all the mallet keyboard duties from marimba and glock to the most modern sounds you can come up with.
Wernick Musical Instruments has spent the last 10 years building a first class reputation with its quality and reliability in the Xylosynth. The XS6's piezo transducers are exclusively manufactured to Wernick's exact specifications, and all internal connectors are gold-plated. Because of the unique modular system, a damaged key can easily be replaced by the user in just a few minutes!
During my video review demonstration, I'm using the Xylosynth to trigger my AKAI S6000 sampler using ILIO Entertainments' Snyclavier Bass Marimba sample library.
